Hello, Royal Oak neighbors. You may soon notice more DTE trucks in your neighborhood as we continue to improve our electric grid. DTE crews were in Royal Oak, near East La Salle Avenue and North Main Street, inspecting the area for an upcoming pole replacement. Our team will be upgrading a pole that was originally built way back in 1957. As energy use evolves over time, equipment updates are often needed to maintain the overhead system. The new, upgraded pole will improve reliability for seven homes in this Royal Oak neighborhood.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long-term.
