Good news Troy customers! Our crews were in your community last week making significant upgrades to equipment that was unfortunately damaged by inclement weather. High winds over the weekend caused a utility pole to break near the corner of Thunderbird and E. Maple. Our team not only replaced the damaged pole with a much thicker one, but also took the opportunity to upgrade all the equipment to strengthen the grid going forward. They did this by replacing the wooden crossarms with stronger fiberglass ones, installing stronger insulators and putting in new cables. The lines were temporarily deenergized for about 30 minutes while our team made the upgrades safely. This work, done behind the homes on Sheperds Dr., should strengthen the service for many homes and businesses in the area.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
