DTE overhead crews worked on Merriman and Industrial Roads to improve reliability for two Livonia businesses. Both businesses were being fed power from one utility pole and transformer. Crews installed an additional pole with a brand new transformer so the two businesses don’t have to share one. This reduces the chance of power disruptions by minimizing the power load on the original transformer, keeping both businesses in service when they need it most.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
