DTE crews were out in Downtown Detroit, near Third and Howard Streets, to modernize equipment that powers the historic, 97-year-old Buhl Building. Our team worked in a manhole to replace an underground cable with a new one. This update improves the durability of the DTE belowground system, helping ensure that this towering building, part of the Detroit skyline for nearly a century, continues to receive safe, reliability energy.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long term.
Make sure to regularly check the Detroit – District 6 community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
