DTE workers are making updates in Romulus Township. An older pole with older equipment had been powering homes near the corner of Cogswell Street and Wick Road. Overhead crews worked on replacing the old pole with a new one along with updating all the equipment on it, including a new transformer, cross arms and switches. Before the overhead team could work, tree trimmers cut and cleaned up several branches that were leaning on the pole’s power lines. These updates are constant and part of everyday maintenance work that DTE does to ensure electricity is available when you need it.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long term.
