Our underground crews worked together with contractors to disconnect power to a building that is being demolished on Orchard Lake Road. The workers first had to place tags on the utility pole to ensure no work below the tags would be done until authorized by the crew lead. The tags are for workers’ safety while work was being done on the other transformer. The system was deenergized so the secondary cables that fed the building could be pulled and fully disconnected.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
