Hey Farmington Hills residents! Our crews were working in your community last week to restore power and improve the energy grid in your area. After wind and rain caused a distribution power line in northern Farmington Hills to fall earlier this week, our crews worked safely and quickly to get power back to 486 valued customers.

The brief outage impacted residents in the area of Drake and Farmington Roads between 12 Mile and 13 Mile Roads. The downed line was repaired right outside of the historic Lawrence Simmons House. Small repairs like this, in addition to the larger proactive maintenance upgrades we’re making in your area, go a long way to strengthen our infrastructure and harden our system to protect against future severe weather.

You may be seeing more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.

Make sure to regularly check the Farmington Hills community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
