The City of Dearborn, also known as Tree City, USA, is balancing its electricity usage and now you have the opportunity to balance your home’s carbon footprint this Earth Month with Natural Gas Balance!

DTE Energy will reward Dearborn residents if enough homes enroll in CleanVision Natural Gas Balance by April 30. We will plant 10 trees in a community park if more than 150 residents take action and enroll in the program.

Natural Gas Balance is DTE’s voluntary natural gas program that empowers households to balance an average home’s natural gas usage efficiently and affordably. When you enroll in the program, you are:

  • Addressing emissions from natural gas usage in heating, water heaters, cooking and other home uses – without adjusting your energy usage.
  • Pioneering the use and development of renewable natural gas to reduce traditional methane greenhouse gases escaping into the atmosphere.
  • Protecting Michigan’s mature trees that act as natural carbon scrubbers in the Upper Peninsula.

It’s easy and affordable to support cleaner energy in Michigan – and you’ll get rewarded if you enroll this month! Take action, now.
