DTE crews were on John R and East Kirby Streets upgrading the electric grid. Cable splicers worked underground to connect new cabling from one circuit to another. With this update, DTE is able to minimize power disruptions by giving the community a secondary power source to rely on if their primary source fails, improving service reliability for Detroiters.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
