DTE crews were out in the Virginia Park neighborhood of Detroit, near West Grand Boulevard and Kipling Avenue, replacing an older cable pole with a newer more durable one. In the photo above, you can see that the predecessor is leaning to the right while the new one is in a stable, vertical position. Soon, crews will return to remove the old pole. This work improves the durability of the overhead system and keeps power safely flowing for Detroiters.

Make sure to regularly check the Detroit – District 6 community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
