A crew of our tree trimmers worked along Maplewood Street in Livonia Township last week. Several trees were inspected and flagged by crew planners to let trimmers know what branches needed to be cleared. Branches are considered hazardous when they begin to lean or when they are near any electrical equipment. Keeping trees trimmed and away from power lines helps ensure the power can stay on for customers the next time heavy winds or storms roll through the neighborhood.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
Make sure to regularly check the Livonia community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
