DTE crews were at the Charlotte Substation on Woodward and Temple Street installing an upgraded cable. A cable puller is pictured above preparing the unenergized cable for installation. This will be an extended cable that will serve more of the community, improving the evenness of power distribution for Detroit homes and businesses.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long term.
