Recently, one of our crews was out in Detroit inspecting a manhole for preventative measures. With this practice, they descend underground to check our equipment for potential hazards and repair them to help prevent future problems.  They can even catch a power outage in its earliest stages and fix the issue before customers experience any disruptions. The crew determined that the equipment in this section of the underground grid was properly functioning and clear of hazards, helping us deliver reliable power to the community.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long term.

Make sure to regularly check the Detroit – District 6 community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
