Our crews trimmed multiple large trees in a Livonia neighborhood off Sunnydale Street. Many tree limbs needed to be cut down to avoid interfering with electrical lines, which could have caused outages in the future. We bring woodchippers on these jobs to dispose of the limbs we cut, and we often share the woodchips with people or groups who need them. We’ve recently shared woodchips with playgrounds, municipalities and businesses who expressed a need. This saves disposal costs for our customers and recycles the material for good use in our communities.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.

Make sure to regularly check the Livonia community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
