As the new Cadillac car dealership on Ann Arbor Rd is nearing completion, our crews were there to install a transformer and replace a utility pole. Here, you see us working to place the “padmount transformer,” which probably looks familiar to you. These large, steel, green boxes (pictured below) are used with underground lines to step down the primary voltage to a level for use in homes and businesses. Our team also replaced a utility pole by the street that will feed the new building. In all, this work will provide reliable energy for this new building to thrive for many years.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
