Music & Markets at Beacon Park

Get ready to shop and groove—Music & Markets is in full swing at Beacon Park!

This lively event series will spotlight a different music genre each night, paired with a vibrant open-air market showcasing unique goods from local makers and vendors. From house beats to soulful R&B, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy delicious offerings from local food trucks and join in on hustle and line dancing sessions led by the N’Namdi Movement Center and instructor Maurice Adams throughout the event.

Additionally, sports fans can catch the action on our large LED screens, so you won’t miss a game while browsing unique gift options, sipping a craft beverage from Lumen Detroit or dancing the summer night away. 

Join us before the event for Hustle and Line Dancing from 5 – 6 p.m. 

Dancing: Beginner and Intermediate hustle and line dancing by the N’Namdi Movement Center with instructor Maurice Adams 

Details: Move, groove and dance your way through the weekend. Learn the basics of non-partner dance styles like hustle, line dancing and ballroom with an experienced instructor in a beautiful outdoor space. Open to beginners and more experienced dancers. 

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes you can move in, packing a bottle to fill at the water station and wearing sun protection. 

This class is FREE and OPEN to the public. Space will be limited based on park capacity
