Los Trompos at Beacon Park

April 27 @ 6:00 am - May 23 @ 10:00 pm

Free
Mark your calendars, Detroit. Los Trompos is back at  Beacon Park Detroit this Spring and you don’t want to miss it!

Los Trompos (Spanish for ‘spinning tops’) returns with a collection of eight three-dimensional, larger-than-life “spinning tops” to transform Beacon Park into a vibrant space of culture and interactive fun. The spinning sculptures, created by award-winning artists and designers Héctor Esrawe and Ignacio Cadena, weave together Mexican tradition, culture, architecture, and art, by enabling guests to spin the tops inspired by the concept and construction of the traditional Mexican toy. By working as one community to spin all the tops guests can watch the art installation come to life in a cultural celebration.

We hope to see you having fun out in the park — share your photos with us by tagging Beacon Park Detroit!
