Beacon Park is transforming into a winter wonderland and pop-up seasonal gathering space.
Kick off the holiday season during Light Up Beacon Park on Friday, Nov. 17, from 4 – 9 p.m. Families can watch our 20-foot, Michigan-grown Children’s Tree come to life, with ornaments decorated by local Detroit children, during the tree lighting at 6 p.m. Plus, spend some time with Santa and Mrs. Claus, meet real reindeer, groove to live music and feast on delicious food truck fare. And don’t forget the “Polar Express” rides – they’re free for all!
Guests are invited to experience “Northern Lights” with larger-than-life light features, including a 15-foot Infinity Snow Globe, a gigantic walkthrough snowflake and gleaming polar bears. We’re lighting up the park with 125,000 LED-efficient dazzling bulbs, all 95% recyclable.
New this year will be the addition of Beacon Park’s “Design Haus,” which opens with Light Up Beacon Park festivities. Additional dates will be open to the public in November and December. The indoor heated space will feature live entertainment, art installations, themed décor, visual displays, photo backdrops, along with a winter cocktail spritz bar by Lumen Detroit. This Detroit destination is the perfect place to visit all season long. Join us from Nov. 17 to Jan. 16, 2024 and immerse yourself in the winter spirit at Beacon Park.
