Connected to All: Environment + People + Community

We’re proud to present Connected to All: Environment + People + Community, an outdoor art exhibit promoting environmental awareness, people and our shared community in partnership with The Downtown Detroit Partnership and the Detroit Fine Arts Breakfast Club.
Artists from across metro Detroit will connect at Beacon Park to share their work with the public. The weekend will showcase a juried outdoor art exhibition while highlighting our mission as an environmentally conscious public space.
The three-day, two-part event will include:
- Friday, May 19—Sunday, May 21: An art exhibition, curated by the Detroit Fine Arts Breakfast Club, featuring metro Detroit artists’ work, including paintings, photography, prints and other unique art forms for sale.
- Saturday, May 20: Just Place™: Exploring the Intersectionality of Race & Accessibility in Detroit’s Urban Green Spaces, a critical conversation session, will focus on accessibility in urban green spaces, facilitated by a panel of local thought leaders and community-based advocates. This event is FREE and open to all.
PROGRAMMING
- Friday from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.: Artist registration, soft opening
- Saturday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.: “Just Place™” event; local, small business vendors will offer earth-friendly food, refreshments and other various items for sale
- Saturday from 12 – 7 p.m.: Tent reception with artists and exhibit opening
- Sunday from 12 – 5 p.m.: Exhibit open with artists present
