The sun is out, the weather is warm, and the kids are just about out of school and ready for fun. Summer is here and so are exciting free events at Beacon Park in downtown Detroit and dozens of communities statewide.

Summer concerts, local goods and family friendly events highlight the summer lineup at Beacon Park.

The Summer Concert Series is still rocking Beacon Park with Thomas McClary’s Commodores Experience closing out the series on Saturday, August 17. The concert is free and open to the public.

Looking for fresh local produce and treats? Head to Market Thursdays at Beacon Park every Thursday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. from now until Sept. 26. Jewelry and apparel more your style? You’re in luck with Night Markets at Beacon Park every Saturday night from 7 p.m. – midnight from now until Aug. 25. Food, drink and market items are available for purchase. Admission and activities are free and open to all. Tell all your friends to meet you at Beacon Park!

Sundays are for family! Family Fun Days at Beacon Park are back by popular demand! Come down to Beacon Park every Sunday from now until Aug. 25 for free activities for all ages to enjoy! Think make/take activities, lawn games, inflatables, face painting, crafts and much more. Food trucks will be available and Lumen Detroit will be open during the events for food and drink too!
