Last week, a semitruck accidentally got caught on some power lines while driving through an apartment complex in Southfield, resulting in downed power lines and a broken utility pole.
A DTE overhead crew came out and de-energized the downed lines to make the area safe for the public and safe for them to begin working on repairs. Once the area was secure, the crew replaced the pole and restrung the power lines to restore power to nearby residents. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the accident or repairs.
