Things are looking pup at DTE! Excitement is growing in anticipation of the arrival in early summer of its newest team member, a 10-month old Labrador Retriever named Nora.
Nora’s primary job responsibility will be interacting with the community, and providing smiles at some of the volunteer events in which we participate across the state. DTE is encouraging community interaction with Nora at events. She is not a service dog and will be overjoyed to interact with the public. In addition to appearing at volunteer events, Nora will be a mainstay across all DTE social media channels sharing public safety messages, company news and tidbits from her journey at DTE.
When she’s not at DTE or volunteering, Nora will be…well, a dog. She’ll be doing things most pets do from playing with other dogs to going for walks and just being a part of a family.
“This is really a great life for a dog, particularly a Labrador Retriever,” said Colleen Rosso, corporate communications manager at DTE, and Nora’s primary handler. “She’ll have purpose, be around people all day at work and then just hang out with her family in the evenings and on her days off.”
Nora is currently going through training to become certified as a facility and therapy dog. Once her training is complete, she’ll join the rest of the DTE team as a full-time employee. If her brief appearances at DTE headquarters have shown one thing, Nora will be one pawpular coworker.
