It’s day six of DTE Energy’s journey to power Puerto Rico, and line crews have already made significant progress in one of the most unique and challenging mutual assistance trips the company has faced. From adjusting to the hot humid weather and mountainous terrain, to squeezing bucket trucks through narrow, windy roads – even the most experienced linemen are encountering new challenges each day.

Nonetheless, each of the 80+ employees stationed on the island are eager to work through those obstacles and turn the lights back on for the people in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
