DESCRIPTION:DTE’s Beacon Park\, in partnership with the Downtown Detroit Partnership\, Mindfield\, TLS Productions\, Inc. and the curatorial committee of Njia Kai from NKSK Events + Production\, the Detroit Branch NAACP\, and Jamon Jordan from the Detroit Black Scroll Network is proud to showcase “Detroit Tribute In Light”. This community-centric video and light event honors the courage Detroiters have shown and acknowledges the losses we have suffered in facing the two pandemics of COVID-19 and racial injustice. The face of the Grand Army of the Republic Building directly across the street from Beacon Park\, will be covered completely with a moving video light show. The video will loop throughout each night of the event from just after sunset to Midnight.
