DESCRIPTION:We’re proud to welcome the acclaimed interactive outdoor art installation Weci | Koninut on its tour with public art organization Creos. After impressing audiences around the world\, from Houston to Montreal\, this vibrant experience arrives at Beacon Park for a limited time. \nFrom June 18 to July 9\, 2026\, during park hours\, guests can step into an immersive journey inspired by the six Atikamekw seasons\, where light\, sound and storytelling come together to create a calming space to pause and enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting. \nGuests are also invited to experience the installation from Lumen Detroit’s patio\, open dining room or green roof while enjoying delicious food\, curated cocktails and mocktails. \nAbout Weci | Koninut: \nCreated by Indigenous artists Julie-Christina Picher and Dave Jenniss\, \nWeci | Koninut is an interactive installation that creates an evocative space that encourages visitors to explore their own dreams and inner reflections. \nComposed of six giant dream catchers\, Wec i| Koninut embodies the wisdom of the ancestors and deep respect for our environment. Each season—from Pitcipipon\, the Pre-Winter\, to Takwakin\, the Autumn—creates a vibrant\, immersive setting with its own unique interplay of light and sound.
