Congratulations to Diane Antishin for being recognized by Crain’s Detroit Business as a 2021 Notable Executives in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In a special section of today’s editionCrain’s Detroit honors executives who have championed, developed and implemented diversity, equity and inclusion strategies and initiatives within their organization.

As vice president of Human Resources Operations and Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Diane oversees our company’s diversity and inclusion strategy, cultivating an environment that encourages, supports, and values the multicultural mosaic of DTE’s workforce, customers, business partners, suppliers, and communities.

“Diane’s commitment to create a culture where everyone feels welcome and a sense of belonging at DTE, has resulted in the acceleration of DEI initiatives in every business unit in the company this past year, and aligning DEI progress with DTE’s business priorities,” said Rodney Cole Sr., vice president of DTE Foundation.

Diane’s steadfast passion, energy and influence is a driving force behind DTE maturing their DEI work significantly over the past four years. In 2020, DTE took bold steps to respond to racial injustice and unrest and strengthen a culture of caring and inclusion.

On May 30, 2020, Diane and President and CEO Jerry Norcia issued a letter to DTE employees reaffirming DTE’s commitment to stand united in rejecting all forms of discrimination and violence in our workplace and in our communities.

Diane led immediate efforts to equip leaders across the company with tools and resources and encouraged them to check in with their teams, educate themselves about racial injustice and the impacts of racism, and engage in conversations about the impact on people’s health and well-being.

Diane worked with the executive team, leaders across the company and members of our employee resource groups to create recommendations to drive specific long-term change and deepen DTE’s commitment to DEI in more meaningful ways.

“I appreciate the recognition from Crain’s, but really this award belongs to everyone at DTE who’s making an effort every day to actively seek out different points of view and show caring for our customers, communities and each other,” Diane said. “You’re the ones who are constantly taking our culture of inclusion and service excellence to new heights.”
