On Wednesday, Sept. 25, the DTE Alumni Network partnered with United Way for Southeastern Michigan’s Alumni United group to share some details on how DTE Alumni can get involved in Southeast Michigan! Alumni United is a group for individuals who are retired or soon to retire, who recognize the important role of volunteerism and philanthropy in our community.

Nancy Moody, VP of Public Affairs, shared a little bit about the United Way partnership at DTE, and updates from the Alumni Network. Brad Simmons, Ford Motor Company and Alumni United Committee Founder, discussed more about Alumni United and the various ways retirees can continue their involvement in the community. With their focus on volunteering, Alumni United helps keep retirees engaged with United Way’s mission even after they leave the workforce.

Tony Earley, former CEO of DTE Energy, also came out to share why he is a proud supporter of the United Way. Early’s given to United Way since he started working for the United States Navy, and he hasn’t stopped since. Now, Earley serves on the United Way board and is heavily involved in Alumni United.
