A letter from DTE Foundation President Lynette Dowler:
The effects of the COVID-19 virus have been widespread, from the health of those infected to the financial insecurity this crisis has created. The DTE Foundation is working with more than 1,000 non-profit and faith-based organizations statewide who are helping families and communities through this pandemic.
But we want to do more.
We know that not everyone is feeling financially secure enough to donate to non-profits at this time. We understand. But for those who are able and inspired to help their communities, we want to double your impact.
From March 30 through April 16, the DTE Foundation will match donations made to the Michigan Association of United Ways and Michigan Community Action. These non-profit organizations cover much of our state and you can direct your donation to the community of your choice. Both non-profits are committed to providing basic services, including food and shelter, to those in need.
I know this is a difficult time, but I commit to you that the DTE Foundation is here for the people of Michigan — as we have been for decades. Together, we’ll power through.
